CNN fake history

According to the Counterfeit News Network, Bastille Day is the French National holiday that marks the anniversay of America's entry into the First World War to help France.

I can only assume that CNN have decided that falsifying contemporary events is far too mundane a task for such intellectual giants as their journalists and have, therefore, decided to re-write history.

In fact, CNN has form when it comes to re-writing history. It recently claimed that Islam has been a fundamental part of America ever since its founding, and they did not mean the Barbary pirates, who were enslaving Americans and demanding ransom.

Indeed, not content with re-writing history, CNN have even decided to re-write pre-history. They claimed that human beings lived in America one hundred and thirty thousand years ago.

And yet CNN complains loudly and bitterly when people accuse them of fake news and satirise them on the Internet.

They should have meant that this Bastille Day happens to also mark the 100th Anniversary (year not date) of the US entry into WWI & while that’s true enough for our formal forces being deployed by Congress, the US had been participating for years The 1st US Citizen died in combat in France Feb 27, 1915 as a volunteer. I can see how they got confused, being who they are & the parade being led by soldiers dressed as Dough Boys.
    .
They dragged out Moroccan recognition of the US… but didn’t bother to mention why it came about. Half Truths & super sonic spin that’s about all CNN is useful for these days.

Frankly, I think you are overly generous. I cannot see any way one can construe Bastille Day, which marks the storming of the Bastille in 1879, a fundamental moment in the French revolution, as having anything to do with the US. In fact, the French revolution overthrew the regime that had provide the 13 American colonies with indispensable support in the War of Independence. CNN were simply doing what they specialise in – making stuff up.

A lot of media were playing up the 100th anniversary of the US entry into WWI. It’s seen as the US accepting it’s role in the World… as if it wasn’t immediately followed by a period of horrified isolationism after seeing that war.

The media meme is because they are a bunch of corporate neoliberal globalists, which is why they have supported endless wars. The Nuremberg Tribunal established the criteria for dealing with propagandists for wars of aggression. Someone ought to remind the liars at CNN (and the rest).
